The 41th 2015 Taipei International Electronics Show and first 2015 E-Commerce Expo Asia came to a close on Oct. 9, seeing attendance from around 600 vendors and 1,120 booths showcasing Taiwan’s best communications hardware, the latest e-commerce market and cross-border platforms during the four-day event.

Approximately 45,000 domestic and international buyers and industry members attended the expo, drawing high-praise regarding its successful performance from vendors alike in attendance of the event. Cross-border collaboration will bring about more business opportunities, stated event organizer Taiwan External Trade Development Council(TAITRA) on this year’s concurrent electronics and e-commerce show.

Numerous procurement meetings were held by the electronics show and e-commerce expo respectively, creating approximately US$1 hundred million in businesses through inviting 121 buyers worldwide to sit in on nearly 1,000 meetings. India-based Reliance Industries Limited, which draws in a yearly turnover of US$57 billion, hopes to develop businesses and electronic communication products with e-commerce website operations. Hon Hai Group, a long-time investor in India, reinforced a future partnership with Reliance Industries through successful discussions at the show as well.

This year's electronics show outperformed previous events in its multi-variant showcased content by connecting ties within Taiwan's strong footing in the electronics industry supply chain, and integrating the industry's application in smart innovation. The nine exhibition areas in the electronics show rounded up related large companies, ranging from Taiwan's electronic components, electronic testing devices, and batteries.

Themed-pavilions also saw integration of Internet of Things (IoT)-related application solution packages, big data in the cloud and applicable technology for smart wearable devices in its showcases. Notable products showcased during the event include Alchemy Technology Co.'s brainwave-detecting bed for sleep assistance and remote controlled cars that operates through brainwaves, Sunmore Smart Technology Co.'s IoT household integrated solution, and Sinopulsar Technology Inc.'s smart clothes, which sense body temperature, and smart diapers.

ChipSIP Technology Co. unveiled its SiME smart glasses, designed specifically for the professional, corporate market. The company's Global Sales Manager, surnamed Chiang stated their company's favorable effectiveness in this year's attendance, as they received inquiries from numerous domestic and international participants in the duration of the four-day event. For Shihlin Electric & Engineering Heavy Electric Sales Chief, surnamed Lin, she called the electronics show an important platform for Taiwan's electronics industry to conduct B2B international exportation. The company unveiled its Automatic Pass Filter product at the show, which is a solution to provide improved electrical power quality.

The E-Commerce Expo Asia proved to be the perfect place for vendors to market towards potential distributors and buyers.

For Tebuy Global Corp., procurement discussions came in like a constant stream, and stated that a large Taiwan-based enterprise planned to use their platform to expand into mainland China's market. Mobile payment corporations from the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand were also eying for collaboration, stated the Asia Express Mobile Payment Corporation, pointing out talks were conducted between the corporations for an opportunity to enter the Southeast Asian market as well.

Puremilk Co. attended the e-commerce show's AgriFood E-commerce Pavilion, a first of its kind, praising the platform's effectiveness in producing collaboration opportunities as well. Chief Operating Officer Kuo Che-yu stated that they not only attracted enterprises to purchase bulks of fresh dairy through the show, more headquarter representatives of large chain-distribution channels have made promising discussions for partnerships.

Speakers at the Asia eCommerce Forum, and Google Greater China President Scott Beaumont also chimed in high praises of Taiwan's e-commerce industry developments. Together with the eCommerce Forum, Cross-border eCommerce Manual Seminar, and Fresh Agricultural Products eCommerce Forum, which all saw full attendance, a total of 40 seminars amounted to at least 4,000 visitors during the four-day event.
